From Queen Athalia to Micaela in Carmen

After a great debut for Pinchgut Opera in Sydney in the title role of Athalia, I'm now in Perth remembering how to be a kinder character, Micaela, in Bizet's Carmen. I performed this role last year for New Zealand Opera in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, and then in concert for the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. Very much enjoying working on this role now with our music director, Antony Walker, who is passionate about French operatic style and language, and the production's original director, Lindy Hume.
